The MTC

No pictures again this week and just a quick email! Kimball is doing great and leaves to DC on Wednesday!

"I love the MTC and I know that this is where I need to be. This time feels slow but it goes by so fast! I love it here but I miss having my soda and friends to just goof off with. 

My companion is a good guy he is really strict about being here at this time and if we are 1 minute late he freaks and has to repent about it and justify himself to everything and he never shuts up! He talks all day and I never get a word in. He also loves to talk about how he will be healthy and only eat sugar cereal one time a week. It makes all of us mad how he is so crazy then he changes his mind every day. He also sets his alarm to wake up at 5:30 to work out and he wakes us all up and I think he has only actually worked out twice so we all have to wake up at 5:30 

when we shouldn't be waking up till 6. Life is fun but crazy.

I want like real letters and real pictures! I miss everyone and as soon as I get to DC and I have my new address I expect stuff from everyone so I can see you all!

First Email

Elder Thatcher was able to email from the MTC today. Sounds like he is doing great!

"Hey mom and dad it's been sweet here. It's been hard though. I wake up every morning and feel sick but when I get to class and dig in I feel a lot better. 

We had this really cool experience yesterday because the sisters needed some help and we got to give them blessings. All 4 of us elders gave one of the blessings and me and Elder Black gave our first blessings ever so that was awesome!

This morning we got to go and do a session in the temple and it was cool being in the Provo temple.

          Its hard here but i've learned so much and I just want to say that i'm so thankful for everything you have done for me and I want to make you proud.

I miss you guys and hope you get my letter and everything fine. I love you guys."

He promised pictures next week. He leaves for Washington DC in 9 days!

Elder Thatcher Reported to the MTC for his mission this afternoon! 

He will be serving the Lord in the Washington DC South Mission for the next two years. 

He is really excited to teach and serve. He will be a great missionary!

I will be posting his emails and mission pictures on this blog to let everyone know how he is doing and about all of the great experiences he will have! Check back often!!
